Before I could write any more about the earlier trips, we are just back from the Independence Weekend Trip. We made a dash to Honnavara by the Arabian Sea, raced against the sun to wet our feet in the sea at Gokarna, found the air-conditioned room a better proposition than the humid scene outside and returned with a feeling that we have after all been on far better trips! There was water & greenery everywhere, yet somehow things did not fall in place, despite having taken care of the basics like booking the bus tickets and accommodation in advance.
Well, the preparation was something else as usual and I hope you will hear very soon about it!
Leaving you with a touch of nostalgia... take a look at the concrete pillar with the 'Government of Mysore' emblem, that marked the beginning of the old bridge across Sharavathi, approaching from Honnavara.
